MiTAC has assisted the New Taipei City Government in the replacement and maintenance of existing LED streetlights (approximately 130,000 units). In addition to providing applications such as intelligent light control, streetlight information management systems, and maintenance history query management, the solution also addresses flooding issues during the typhoon season. It offers functions for "Mountain Road Traffic Detection" and "Underground Passage Water Level Monitoring." Furthermore, the company has developed an engineering maintenance plan in accordance with national standards, aligning with the autonomous inspection procedures of streetlights. Prepared to conduct streetlight inspections and complete issue resolution within 24 hours of notification, this approach aims to enhance service quality and instill confidence in the public regarding the government's proactive governance. In recent years, the total number of streetlight repair cases has steadily decreased, showcasing the effectiveness of the project. Consequently, it has received recognition from the client and was nominated for the "Golden Quality Award" in public engineering.

In the 21st edition of the Golden Quality Award for Public Engineering, which saw a record-high number of submissions, there were two main categories: the "Excellent Public Engineering Quality Award" and the "Public Facility Maintenance and Management Award," totaling 108 entries. MiTAC was nominated for its contribution to the New Taipei City Government's Southern District Smart Streetlight Project, specifically the "Maintenance Project for the Bridge and Road on Section 2 of Zhongshan Road in Banqiao District." In a fiercely competitive evaluation process, MiTAC stood out and was honored with the "Public Facility Maintenance and Management Award," receiving the distinction of an Excellence Award.

The project's principal investigator, Senior Director Lin Yiru of the Innovative Technology Business Group at MiTAC, stated that this award will bring substantial benefits to MiTAC, significantly enhancing its competitiveness in government tenders and project participation. For the next two years (effective from January 1, 2022), MiTAC will be listed in the Excellent Vendor Database designated by the Public Construction Commission. It will also receive incentives, including reduced bid bonds, performance guarantees, and warranty guarantees, serving as the highest recognition and encouragement for MiTAC Information Technology Corp.
