Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

MiTAC Advance Technology Corp. was formerly the Innovation Technology Business Group of MTAC Information Technology Corp. Since 2017, we have been undertaking the National Coast Guard's unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) projects, becoming the largest UAV project contractor in Taiwan at that time. MiTAC possesses extensive experience in full-system integration and operation and maintenance of UAVs. We have successfully completed the deployment of 20 medium-sized single-rotor UAVs (30kg) and have been maintaining and operating them for seven years, making us the only system integration professional team in Taiwan with comprehensive system deployment and operational experience.

As a result of our recognized project achievements, MiTAC is selected as the "Military-Civilian" UAV national team in 2023. We were honored to serve as the leading system integrator and were selected to manufacture two prototype models: the "Observation" and "Reconnaissance" types, which successfully passed acceptance testing. Additionally, during the "Military Commercial Specifications" UAV mass production bidding phase, leveraging our extensive system integration experience and independently developed key core item - the MiTAC Ground Control System (MiGCS), we passed rigorous flight tests and were awarded contracts for the mass production of the "Observation" and "Tactical" UAVs, with a total contract value of NT$1.842 billion.

MiTAC Advance Technology Corp. is part of the MiTAC-SYNNEX Group, which includes many benchmark enterprises such as Getac Technology Corporation with its robust military-grade computers and specialized military labs; Atemitech Corporation, a manufacturer of batteries and precision structural components; MiTAC Communication CO., LTD., which specializes in IPCs; MiTAC Holdings Corp., a manufacturer of Mio optical lenses, GIS, and GPS technology; and NAFCO, an international aerospace fastener manufacturer. MiTAC Advance Technology Corp. is currently integrating group resources to build a UAV ecosystem, supported by AI core technology applications, focusing on UAV system R&D, design, manufacturing, production, testing, assembly, and application services, with the goal of leveraging the group's technological advantages to enter international markets.

In addition to our extensive practical experience, MiTAC Advance Technology Corp. is one of the few system integrators with supply chain capabilities in both military and civilian aerospace industries. From UAV component maintenance to full-system integration and R&D, we benefit from the support of many heavyweight subsidiaries within the United Microelectronics Group. This gives us a unique advantage in developing critical UAV components and technologies. Looking ahead, MiTAC Advance Technology Corp. is committed to establishing international standards and certifications for UAVs and working with local UAV partners to promote them globally.

MiTAC Advance Technology Corp. "AI Innovation Application Development Center" R&D team is responsible for the comprehensive upgrade project of the Taipei City Police Department's intersection monitoring system (with a budget of approximately NT$1.7 billion). This project involved the R&D of the MiTAC Central Management System (MiCMS), successfully integrating around 40,000 different ICT devices in Taipei City within three years. The system processes about 40 billion images and visuals annually. After rigorous testing and improvement in various environments and complex conditions, the R&D team successfully established robust AI image recognition integration capabilities. This experience has been extended to projects such as Taipower's DaTan and HsiehHo Power Plant e-Gate access control systems, the Foreign Trade Association International Conference Center and Nangang Exhibition Center e-Gate facial recognition access systems, and the Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital e-Gate facial recognition access system.

Leveraging our experience with the intelligent monitoring system of the Taipei City Police Department, particularly in image processing and analysis, and our expertise in handling large data and integrating image transmission with AI-optimized image tracking and target recognition technology, MiTAC Technologies has rapidly adapted and successfully validated these technologies in the R&D of MiGCS for “UAV mass production projects.”

The next-generation MiGCS II is currently in development and will be released soon.      

 

Intuitive User Interface

Featuring an intuitive design, the system provides key data such as flight metrics, geographical maps, GPS signal quality, wireless link status, high-definition and infrared imagery, and laser rangefinding. It also includes single sign-on, user permissions management, operation logs, equipment status monitoring, and alert functions, enhancing user convenience and operational efficiency.

Layered Image Window Technology 

The system utilizes a layered image window structure, allowing users to view multiple real-time data streams and images simultaneously without compromising system performance. This includes displaying OSD camera status and HUD flight information together on the main screen, improving operator decision-making without causing image lag or stuttering.

     

 

Dynamic Parameter Adjustment 

The system automatically adjusts video bitrate based on the distance between the UAV and ground antenna, ensuring stable image transmission and control. It also dynamically regulates radio signal strength to protect the radio chip from excessive signals, enhancing system safety and reliability.

Comprehensive Record Keeping 

With extensive logging capabilities, the system generates various charts for analysis and visualization, and performs cause analysis for specific issues. Data can be exported and integrated with third-party systems for intelligent control and optimization, expanding its applicability and flexibility.

     

 

MiAIBox - Intelligent Recognition Module 

MiAIBox offers AI object models tailored to different vehicles and environments, with features for rapid target identification, tracking, and counting. Our proprietary tracking algorithm achieves over 80% accuracy in target counting, enhancing real-time data analysis and operational efficiency.

AI Image Recognition 

The system excels in quickly identifying and tracking targets within images. It supports both manual and automatic target tracking, with real-time data transmission to central command units, improving command efficiency and application effectiveness.

The system enables smooth flight operations and payload handling, supporting tasks such as image reconnaissance, supply drops, and terrain scanning. It accommodates both single and multiple window operations, providing operational flexibility.
