MiTAC showcases remarkable achievements in the implementation of the most extensive urban smart security system across Taiwan

As the largest urban security system contractor in Taiwan, MiTAC has developed a highly customized integrated solution tailored to the specific needs of its clients. Leveraging real-time and historical video data from intersection monitoring devices, coupled with artificial intelligence image analysis technology, the system provides the most effective assistance in maintaining public order and conducting crime investigations in the capital.

With the advancement of AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) technology, MiTAC has assisted the Taipei City Police Department in developing the Central Management System (CMS) for upgrading the intersection surveillance system. The CMS integrates the Video Management System (VMS), License Plate Recognition System (LPR), and Intelligence Surveillance System (IVS), addressing the fragmented operation issues of various software systems. The unified interface simplifies connectivity to external police-related service systems, enhances system usability, and allows intuitive operation on electronic maps. This enables the quick identification of suspect images, determination of potential escape directions and hiding places, facilitating rapid apprehension and effective crime prevention.

■ Video Management System (VMS)
We have chosen the globally most widely used video management platform, featuring an intuitive operating interface that shortens the learning curve for users. The SmartClient timeline and intelligent search functions effectively enhance the efficiency of police personnel in reviewing footage. It manages the data from over 18,000 surveillance cameras across Taipei City, enabling police officers to access and review surveillance footage from any corner of the city at any time through the system.

■ License Plate Recognition System (LPR)
We utilize AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of license plate recognition. By leveraging AI techniques and extensive historical data on license plate recognition, we overcome various environmental constraints and interferences, improving the recognition of challenging license plates. The use of column-based and parallel processing technologies allows for rapid queries of large databases in an extremely short time, providing a fast and high-precision license plate recognition system solution.

■ Intelligent Video Surveillance System (IVS)
IVS is a collaborative application of artificial intelligence, combining exclusive Video Synopsis® patented technology with computer vision and AI deep learning techniques. Through the patented time-lapse video technology, it can quickly review several hours of footage in a short time. For cases where there are only rough features or clothing color clues for suspects, it can be like finding a needle in a haystack for the police. With the Intelligent Video Surveillance System (IVS), lengthy video footage is intelligently compressed into a short time for viewing, assisting police in criminal investigations.

■ Frontline Support – Mobile Video App System
For frontline police officers, immediate assistance is sometimes needed. The intelligent video surveillance system from Godo supports real-time access through a dedicated mobile app. Police officers can access the footage from over 18,000 surveillance cameras belonging to the Taipei City Police Department at any time and location using specialized vehicles. This significantly aids frontline police officers in improving operational efficiency and enhancing case processing speed.
