On the morning of July 23, MiTAC Advance Technology Corp. held the inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Fuguang facility in Yangmei District, Taoyuan City, located within the MiTAC-Synnex Group’s industrial park. The ceremony, while simple, was solemn and symbolic, officially announcing the launch of the new plant. This milestone highlights MiTAC’s significant advancement in the research, development, and manufacturing of UAVs and special mobile vehicles, ushering in a new chapter for the company.

The Fuguang plant spans approximately 1,400 ping (roughly 4,600 square meters), tripling the size of its existing Longtan facility. This expansion not only enhances MiTAC’s overall production capabilities and technical integration but also strategically positions the company in the fields of defense AI and advanced ICT applications. MiTAC is committed to becoming a trusted force in the “non-PRC supply chain,” contributing new energy to the development of Taiwan’s national defense industry and autonomous defense innovation.

The event was presided over by MiTAC Chairman Mr. Liang SU, joined by General Manager Mr. Sammy CHIU, Deputy General Manager Mr. Michal LEE, Fuguang Plant Director Mr. James HSU, and other senior executives and department heads. Together, they participated in the ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony, showcasing the company’s collective confidence in embracing future challenges. The lively celebration continued with a guided tour led by Director Hsu, who introduced guests to the overall layout of the new facility. The tour included detailed walkthroughs of the first-floor exhibition hall, the second-floor UAV production line, and the special-purpose mobility platform development zones, reflecting MiTAC’s strong commitment to technological innovation and production quality.

Since the beginning of 2025, MiTAC has been planning and developing the Fuguang facility. After more than six months of preparation and production line setup, the company successfully integrated and relocated the mobility platform capabilities from the Longtan plant. The new site features a state-of-the-art reception and exhibition space on the first floor and specialized zones for UAV production, maintenance, and testing on the second floor. With a highly flexible manufacturing system and advanced integration capabilities, the Fuguang plant is set to become the core hub for MiTAC’s UAV and special mobile vehicle development.

Through the activation of the Fuguang plant, MiTAC has completed its production line upgrade and technological realignment. The company is now fully launching its dual-track strategy of "military-grade manufacturing" and "AI-integrated systems," underscoring its role as a key player in the non-PRC defense supply chain and a pioneer in defense-related AI innovation.
